"Chat, What's This?" is a Chrome extension that helps users quickly get explanations from ChatGPT by selecting text on any webpage and clicking a button — no copy-pasting required.

🔒 What data do we collect?

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, browsing history, or sensitive information.

Your language preference for ChatGPT explanations will be saved locally using Chrome’s storage API so you don’t have to reselect it each time. It is never transmitted to any external server.

🌐 Permissions

The extension asks for access to all websites to:

• Detect when you select text
• Show a '?' button for quick access to ChatGPT

This permission is required to offer a seamless, one-click experience across all pages.

No content from web pages is collected or sent anywhere.

We do not use any analytics, tracking scripts, cookies, or third-party monitoring tools.
